A 29-second CCTV video has captured the terrifying moments of a bus accident, showing the vehicle losing control, skidding for more than 25 metres and overturning after crashing into a divider on a service road. The crash claimed one life and left 26 others injured.
The footage shows the bus veering off course before slamming into the divider and flipping over within seconds. According to officials, the bus overturned on a highway and came to rest on top of a roadside concrete barrier.

Visuals from the accident site showed the bus lying upside down, badly mangled and almost bent in the middle, with its undercarriage severely damaged. One side of the overturned bus was also seen resting on top of a car on the opposite side of the divider. Police said the stretch where the accident occurred is known to be accident-prone, PTI reported.
Passengers described scenes of panic after the crash. One survivor said diesel began leaking from the overturned bus, sparking fears among those trapped inside. Since the vehicle had flipped upside down, many passengers found it difficult to escape on their own, as per reports.
Local residents rushed to the spot and joined emergency responders in rescuing those trapped inside the bus. Police identified the deceased as a resident of Kozhikode. The identities and medical conditions of the 26 injured passengers have not yet been disclosed.
According to the police, the bus first hit the road divider, crossed over to the opposite carriageway and finally overturned on top of the concrete barrier, causing extensive damage.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident and the sequence of events that led to the crash.
