Hollywood director Chuck Russell, the name behind iconic films including The Mask, The Scorpion King and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, has died at 74. His family confirmed Russell’s demise at his home in San Diego earlier this week. Emergency responders found him unresponsive and could not revive him, reports said, but the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Russell’s film-making legacy covers more than four decades and has seen him successfully negotiate horror, comedy, fantasy and action. Apart from other Hollywood mega hits, he also made one Indian movie, his first and last, that has now become iconic.
