BPSC further clarified that while announcing the 70th CCE result, “it was clearly stated that according to the tie-breaker rules, preference is determined first on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination, then marks obtained in the essay paper, and if the scores are still equal, the candidate’s date of birth is considered. Since the tie-breaker provisions are clearly laid down, there should be no confusion, misunderstanding, or inconvenience of any kind.”
