The deceased has been identified as Tapti, a native of Santri village in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district. According to her family, she had joined work at the bungalow around a week ago as a live-in domestic worker. She was promised a monthly salary of Rs 20,000 and stayed inside the house as part of her job.
