A woman, her two children, and a relative were critically injured after their car was rammed by a speeding SUV near Sohna Chowk in Gurugram early Friday morning, police said. All four were travelling in a hatchback, a Baleno, when a Thar collided with the car, causing it to overturn, according to the complaint filed by the victim, Meenakshi Chadha, a resident of Nai Basti, Gurugram. The Thar also overturned multiple times. The injured members of the family have been identified as Meenakshi, her children, Divansh and Lakshita, and relative Rashika.
Meenakshi said that around 4.30 am, they had set out for a drive from their house. Around 4:40 am, as the car was turning from the Old Jail Chowk towards Rajiv Chowk, a black Thar vehicle approached at high speed from the direction of Rajiv Chowk and rammed directly into the driver’s side of the Baleno.
