What was supposed to be a wholesome girl-child adoption by a Haryana family turned into a nightmare for the young girl meant to be adopted, along with her family in Haryana. A cab driver living in the NIT area of Faridabad had brought a 9-year-old girl, the daughter of an auto rickshaw driver, home, as he wanted a daughter, as per PTI. However, her 9-day stay with the adoptive family turned ugly after she allegedly ended up getting sexually assaulted by the cab driver’s minor sons. As per PTI, the police have booked the minors, aged 12 and 13, for an alleged penetrative sexual assault.
