Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde has rejected the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) inquiry report into the Chembur tree collapse that killed 11-year-old Vihaan Srivastava. Addressing reporters on Friday, Tawde said the report had been unanimously rejected by the civic body and that she had directed the administration to conduct a re-enquiry. “We unanimously rejected the report. We have torn the copy of the report and asked the administration to conduct a re-enquiry,” she said.
