In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, Kapoor explained that commercial, political and regional pressures often distort real-life stories, which is why he believes Indian filmmakers should avoid making biopics. He also praised Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in Chak De! India, calling it one of the superstar’s finest performances; it was the content that bothered him.
