Jana Nayagan was supposed to be Tamil Nadu CM Thalapathy Vijay’s final film before his full-fledged entry into politics. Directed by H Vinoth, the film was scheduled for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026. However, its release faced many hurdles due to certification issues by the Central Board of Film Certification. In between, the entire film was leaked on the internet. Now, the good news is that Jana Nayagan is finally ready to release on July 23, 2026. After an official announcement was made, makers of two other Tamil films, Immortal and DC, were postponed to make way for Thalapathy Vijay’s movie.
