Lashing out at the rebels, Mamata Banerjee said, “We got many of them elected on our party symbol, but many had baggage that I did not know about. Those who are now joining the BJP’s ‘washing machine’ out of fear of agencies and pretending to be saints can leave. The real strength of my party lies with the booth, block, and district workers who sacrificed and shed blood for the organisation.”
