According to sources, the local residents spotted large quantities of government-issued tarpaulins, flood relief materials, and “special government kits” being loaded onto a trolley from a godown which is reportedly owned by TMC panchayat member Ram Pal on Tuesday afternoon. Locals intervene soon after they noticed it. Immediately the local residents stopped the trolley, alleging the relief material was being smuggled elsewhere. BJP workers and supporters reached the spot.
