Indian equity benchmarks gave up a large portion of their intraday gains on Tuesday as investors turned cautious in the second half of the trading session. The Sensex settled 130.49 points, or 0.17 per cent, higher at 77,185.43, while the Nifty 50 added 26.45 points, or 0.11 per cent, to close at 24,078.50. Market breadth remained positive, with 2,203 stocks advancing, 1,896 declining and 158 ending unchanged.
