The 2027 Cricket World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia next year, could have a major change in store. This edition was set to see the tournament once again become a 14-team event after only 10 teams participated in 2019 and 2023. However, now discussions are being held for it to be a 12-team event.
