Hollywood star Sam Neill’s death has left the fans and film fraternity in deep sorrow. The New Zealand-based actor died in Australia at the age of 78 on July 13. He was considered one of the most versatile actors of his generation. Indian actor Anupam Kher is heartbroken after learning about his favourite Sam Neill’s death. The actor has mourned the ‘international leading man’s demise on social media by sharing a picture with Sam Neill from their first meeting in Australia. In an emotional note, Kher mentioned that he had the privilege of meeting him in Sydney.
Anupam Kher Mourns Sam Neill’s Demise
Anupam Kher added a couple of pictures of Sam Neill in his Instagram post and paid tribute to one of the most popular Hollywood actors in the world. In a note, the Shri Rambhoomi actor mentioned that what stayed with him after meeting Neill was the warm, gracious and gentle human being behind the familiar face.
The veteran Bollywood star admitted that he has followed and admired Sam Neill’s body of work for decades. He wrote, “From My Brilliant Career and The Piano to Jurassic Park, The Hunt for Red October and so many other memorable performances, he brought intelligence, dignity and a rare quiet strength to every character he portrayed.”
According to him, Sam Neill managed to impress audiences with his performance and touch people’s hearts with his presence. The Kashmir Files actor concluded his note by stating, “The world of cinema has lost an extraordinary artist, and the world has lost a wonderful gentleman. Rest in peace, dear Sam. Your work and your warmth will live on. Om Shanti.”

Sam Neill’s team officially confirmed his death on his Instagram handle with a long note. In the statement, they mentioned that Sam was surrounded by his family during the last moments of his life. The statement further read, “The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer free. They would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their incredible care.”
