One Photo, One Report: FSSAI Calls On Public To Report Unsafe Food Via App, Asks Them To 'Be The Eyes'

In what is a significant development as well as clearly a Times Now Digital campaign “E-Comms Hiding Health Info” impact, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Sunday launched a public awareness push urging citizens to report unsafe food, unhygienic kitchens and poor handling practices through its Food Safety Connect App. Under the ‘Be The Eyes of Food Safety’ campaign, the regulator is encouraging people to turn awareness into action by flagging violations they come across in daily life. Times Now Digital has been campaigning for this, the right to see products’ manufacturing and expiry dates before paying online and their right to be fully aware of the products they buy, in particular when it comes to food they consume.
