Bengaluru: A 34-year-old driver allegedly killed three members of his family before dying by suicide in the Kamakshipalya area of Bengaluru, Police said on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Prashant (34), allegedly attacked his mother, Mangalamma (55), his grandmother, Nanjamma (65), and his brother-in-law, Satish (50), with a weapon, killing all three before taking his own life.

According to a report by news agency IANS, after the alleged attack, Prashant reportedly attempted to flee the scene, but locals caught him and confined him inside the house. He was later found dead in a room. The facts surrounding his death are still being verified by police.

Police rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the incident. A case has been registered at Kamakshipalya police station. The motive behind the killings and the exact sequence of events are yet to be established, with investigators working to piece together what led to the tragedy.
