According to the FIR, lodged by Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Vaibhav Navade, the incident took place between 8 pm and 10 pm on July 6 inside the casualty/emergency department of Shastrinagar Hospital, where a critically ill woman was brought. Doctors informed her relatives that no ICU bed was available and advised shifting her to another hospital while treatment continued. Enraged over the lack of an ICU bed, the patient’s relatives, including a corporator, allegedly abused doctors and hospital staff, slapped and assaulted them, issued threats, and disrupted emergency medical services inside the hospital, prompting Vishnu Nagar Police to register an FIR.
