“On similar lines, Lawrence Bishnoi, who runs the organised terror syndicate in North India, started as a petty criminal and created his own gang known as the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the following years, he further expanded his gang with the help of Satinderjit Singh aka Goldy Brar, Sachin Thapan aka Sachin Thapan Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi aka Bhanu, Vikramjit Singh aka Vikram Brar, Kala Jatheri, Kala Rana, and others. Today, his gang has over 700 associates/members, who had generated crores of rupees by 2020. He is one of the masterminds behind the gruesome murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and several other killings. Like Dawood Ibrahim, Lawrence Bishnoi became a notorious gangster who started assisting terrorist organisations within a period of 10 years of his criminal activities. His terror syndicate has consistently aimed to destabilise law and order in North India through targeted killings, extortion, attempted murders, etc,” the NIA said.
