Her brother, Amay Sutar, told PTI that Akriti believed continuing her job would eventually help end the taunts she allegedly faced at her matrimonial home. According to him, she hoped that by earning and gradually buying household items that she was allegedly criticised for not bringing after marriage, the harassment would stop.
