Bengaluru Bikers Block Ambulance Carrying Patient, Perform Wheelies On Busy Road

Apart from risking the patient’s life and denying his “right-of-way”, the bikers were seen breaking several traffic rules as well. For those not aware, ambulances in India can, during a medical emergency, pass through all civilian and VIP traffic. The ‘right-of-way’ comes under Section 194E of the Motor Vehicles Act. People ‘failing to yield to an emergency vehicle’ can face a penalty of up to Rs 10,000, imprisonment for up to 6 months, or both.
