Urging theatres not to screen it in Tamil Nadu, he wrote, “Should this film be produced and released in defiance of the collective opposition of the Tamil people, with the same narrative framework, theatre owners in Tamil Nadu must take a unanimous decision not to screen it in the state. Otherwise, we, the Naam Tamilar Katchi, will lead a massive protest to ensure this film is not screened in any theatre in Tamil Nadu.”
