Gatta Kusthi 2, starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, has opened its box office run on a good note in India. According to Sacnilk, the family drama collected Rs 2.55 crore (net) on its opening day. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the sequel reunites the lead pair following the success of the original film. The Day 1 earnings came from 2,109 shows across the country, with an overall occupancy of 26%. In terms of gross collections, the film has amassed Rs 2.93 crore on day one. Tamil Nadu led the contributions with Rs 2.60 crore, while Karnataka and Kerala each added Rs 15 lakh. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 2 lakh, and other regions together accounted for Rs 1 lakh.
