As the world’s two largest democracies, our nations share more than common interests; we share common values. We believe that free people, free markets, innovation, and democratic institutions remain the greatest force for human progress. The Indo-Pacific has become the center of global commerce, technological innovation, and strategic competition. Ensuring that this region remains open, stable, and governed by international law is no longer simply an American objective or an Indian objective, it is a global necessity.
