The flaw was revealed by the team at EasyOptOuts, and as per the CEO, Tyler Murphy, the group has already contacted Apple about the issue and how to replicate it over a year ago. He also had a conversation with the Cupertino-based giant via email, and Apple responded at multiple points that it was looking into the problem or that a solution was either in the works or had already been deployed. Nonetheless, Murphy and 404 reporter Joseph Cops were able to exploit the vulnerability. Moreover, the exact details of the exploit have not been disclosed due to the potential risk to Apple users.
