Expected Price
Industry estimates suggest the Sierra EV could start above Rs 15 lakh, ex-showroom, positioning it against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and MG ZS EV. A Battery-as-a-Service option, separating the battery cost from the upfront price, could bring the entry price down further if Tata chooses to offer it.
Design
The Tata Sierra EV will closely mirror its ICE sibling’s silhouette, with EV-specific changes including a closed-off grille panel, a unique mesh-pattern air dam and ‘Tata.ev’ badging replacing ‘Sierra’ branding on the lower doors. The full-width LED light bar, roof-extended spoiler and 19-inch alloys are likely shared across both versions.
Range and Battery
Based on the related Harrier EV’s battery options, expect 65kWh and 75kWh single-motor RWD variants with claimed ranges past 600km, alongside a dual-motor AWD version combining about 235 hp rear and 156 hp front motors for 500 Nm of torque and a confirmed Boost Mode.
Features
Confirmed details include a black-and-white cabin theme, a panoramic sunroof, a triple-screen dashboard and a head-up display. Expect wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats, a JBL sound system, Level 2 ADAS and six terrain modes to round out the package.
