Former Trinamool Congress MLA Ramendu Singha Roy was paraded through parts of Tarakeswar in West Bengal’s Hooghly district on Monday amid tight security, days after his arrest in Karnataka in connection with a case being investigated by the state police. The former legislator, dressed in a T-shirt and Bermuda shorts, was taken through the Chautara Road area as central forces and personnel from the Hooghly Rural Police maintained a heavy security cordon.
