Maruti Brezza facelift isn’t expected to be just another mid-life update. If the latest reports are accurate, the SUV is in line for changes that go well beyond a redesigned bumper. A turbo-petrol engine, ventilated seats as well as a redesigned CNG layout are all said to be part of the package. That’s worth paying attention to because the compact SUV segment isn’t what it was three or four years ago. Rivals have moved on with stronger engines, longer feature lists along with smarter packaging. The Brezza, despite selling well, has started showing its age in a few areas. This update appears to be targeted squarely at those gaps.
