Flash floods, triggered by heavy rains, wreaked havoc in several parts of northeast India, including Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Several areas are inundated, throwing the normal life out of gear. So far, there are no reports of any casualties due to floods in these two states. Authorities have launched rescue and relief operations in Arunachal Pradesh’s East Siang.
