On February 5, 2020, Narendra Modi personally announced the formation of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Parliament. He eagerly claimed credit for the formation of the trust, for the construction of the temple, and for the opening of the Mandir by performing the Pran Pratishtha even before the temple was fully complete.
