The student credited her family’s support for helping her stay stress-free throughout the board exam season. Despite having an elder sister who was also a school topper, Nitya said her parents never compared the two or pressured her to achieve a particular score. She added that staying connected with friends and continuing to use social media in moderation helped her remain relaxed and motivated.
On study resources, Nitya described NCERT and Exemplar books as the backbone of her preparation, particularly for Mathematics. She advised students against accumulating too many reference books, saying that school resources and thorough revision are often sufficient. Looking ahead, Nitya has chosen the PCM stream and has already begun preparing for engineering entrance exams, with IIT Bombay being her dream destination. While she supports CBSE’s new second-board examination system as an additional opportunity for students to improve their scores, she said she is satisfied with her 99.4% result and will focus on Classes 11 and 12 instead of appearing for another board attempt.
