Binay Kumar Minz, IIC, Government Railway Police (GRP), Rayagada said that,”The accused allegedly misbehaved with a minor girl while travelling on the Hirakhand Express. The girl later informed her mother about the incident, following which her mother confronted the accused and a heated exchange took place. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s family, a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation into the matter is underway.”
