At a time when lakhs of medical aspirants are feeling unsure about the outcome of their Re-NEET examination, Indian actress and model Suchitra Krishnamoorthi has shared an inspiring message with aspirants through Times Now Digital. “Marks do not define your worth, and success is wildly overrated,” she said.
“We, as a society, as parents, and educators, need to wake up to the fact that our obsession with rankings, scores, and external validation is crushing young minds and, far too often, costing young lives,” she remarked, adding that no exam result can measure a person’s humanity, creativity, resilience, or potential.
In times of distress, she asked candidates to seek help, as it’s always available. “Sometimes, you’re just one phone call, one conversation, or one act of courage away from changing everything,” she said.
Referring to India’s free 24×7 mental health helpline, Tele-MANAS, which listens and provides solutions to students’ misery in seconds through 14416 or 1-800-89-14416, Suchitra said, “Our children need support, not pressure. Understanding, not comparison. Hope, not fear.”
She concludes her message saying, “No mark sheet is worth a life.”
Suchitra has sent a powerful message to the reappearing candidates who are burdened by the idea of how challenging it’s going to be. Many are dreading a lengthy and tougher examination compared to the previous one. This has led to anxiety among the students, with many breaking down and taking wrong steps ahead of Re-NEET 2026.
It should be noted that Timesnow.in stands in solidarity with the aspirants. In moments of distress, they are advised to try to stay calm, sit with parents, seek a counsellor’s assistance if required, and remember that it’s just an exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting Re-NEET 2026 on June 21, 2026. The Centre has taken stringent measures, including restrictions on Telegram, paper transportation by the IAF, strict CCTV surveillance, and direct monitoring by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
