When actor-turned-politician Vijay emerged victorious after his historic win in Tamil Nadu, the South film industry cheered the loudest. From Ram Charan to Allu Arjun, several stars congratulated him on becoming the Chief Minister of the state. And, wishes have continued to pour in over the past few weeks. Recently, his Theri co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu met him at his office and showered him with praise. She penned a heartfelt note, hailing CM Joseph Vijay for his inspiring journey. Sam summed it up by calling it a reminder to always dream big.

In her post, Samantha said that when she landed in Chennai, she felt an immense sense of happiness as she was going to meet the Chief Minister. She added, “I’ve always felt that Vijay sir was never meant to be just a hero on screen. His energy, his presence, and the way people respond to him always felt like he was meant for something bigger.”
She further said that what inspired her most was his courage to step into a completely new arena, to leave behind what he had already mastered and take on a challenge with much higher stakes, not because it is easy, but because he believes he can make a difference. She reflected that, at some point in life, everyone is called to do more, to look beyond themselves and think about how they can contribute, but very few people actually respond to that call.
“I have a feeling Vijay sir will surprise even the people who already believe in him. Not because of the position he holds, but because of the intent with which he approaches it,” wrote Sam as she wished him strength, wisdom, and the courage to stay the course.
She also said that for every young person watching, it should serve as a reminder that life can be much bigger than the dream one starts with.
Fans were all hearts for the sweet note and pictures of the duo. “So good to see you both together after a long time,” commented a user. Another called it the “12 years challenge!” and added, “Ageing like fine wine.”
Samantha and Vijay have worked together in a couple of well-known Tamil films. Both Theri and Mersal were major commercial successes. This strengthened their on-screen pairing and helped them earn a separate fanbase. Off-screen as well, the two share a warm and friendly bond.
