E100 vs Petrol: Price Comparison
Currently, petrol retails at Rs 102.12 per litre in Delhi, while E85 (85 percent ethanol blend) is priced at Rs 82.12 per litre. That’s a price advantage of around Rs 20 per litre. Though E100 carries a higher proportion of ethanol than E85, the retail price for it has not yet been announced. However, industry estimates suggest it could be priced at around Rs 85-90 per litre, depending on government pricing and taxation. Even at Rs 87 per litre, E100 will still be about Rs 15 per litre cheaper than petrol at current Delhi prices.
