Explosions were reportedly heard in Sirik, Qeshm Island, Minab, Isfahan and Bandar Abbas. In retaliation for the American strikes, Iran ordered the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic, a claim countered by the US military. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also carried out its first phase of missile and drone offensive operations in retaliation.
