An X user claimed that the director was portraying Peddi as an inspirational film for the younger generation, with Ram Charan’s character being promoted as the “Hanuman” of the story. The user alleged that, in contrast to this, the film shows him making repeated lustful gestures towards Janhvi’s character, which is largely presented for glamour through revealing outfits and close-up shots. They questioned, “How is this inspiring the younger generation? Many people may see this as disrespectful to Lord Hanuman. #RamCharan was reportedly observing Ayyappa Swami Deeksha, yet the film’s portrayal makes it appear as though his character is constantly lusting after her.”
