Ochoa has been part of the Mexico squad in each of the last five editions, having featured in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. The glovesman rose to prominence after a heroic display against hosts Brazil in a 0-0 draw. Later, he completed the 2018 edition of the tournament with the most for any goalkeeper in the tournament. He also made a name for himself in 2022 by saving a penalty from Robert Lewandowski.
