Riteish Deshmukh’s next film, Raja Shivaji, is being criticised by a section of people after a BJP worker, Suresh Nakhua, called him out over a ‘Wagh Nakh’ scene shown in the trailer. For the unversed, as per the history text, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj hid the ‘Wagh Nakh’ in his attire while meeting Afzal Khan at the Pratapgad in Satara. He used it to kill the Mughal king when the latter tried to attack him. In the trailer, the wagh nakh was shown in Shivaji Maharaj’s hands. And that is what grabbed everyone’s attention, as it is supposed to be the secret weapon of the Maratha king. A particular moment didn’t go down well with BJP leader Suresh Nakhua as he claimed that Riteish manipulated and insulted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s history.
