Top seeds and world No. 1 Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae of Korea were stunned in straight games by the star Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who advanced to the Singapore Open Super 750 badminton tournament final on Saturday. In a 52-minute semifinal match, the fourth-seeded Indian team defeated the current world champions, Ho and Jae, 21-19, 21-18. In Sunday’s summit match, the Indians will face the victor of the other semifinal between third-seeded Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri of Indonesia and fifth-seeded Liang Wei Kang and Chang Wang of China.
