The Delhi University (DU) has raised objection over St. Stephen’s College’s decision to absorb its current Principal, Prof. John Varghese, into the college’s English Department. In an official notice, the registrar of the university stated that the absorption of the Principal in the English department would constitute as violations of rules set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
