Former Australian hitter Will Pucovski filed a lawsuit against Brighton Grammar, his former school, alleging that the school did not appropriately follow concussion protocols after being knocked unconscious during an Australian rules football training session in 2014. Pucovski’s solicitors have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court of Victoria, claiming that the incident marked the start of a string of concussion-related issues that finally compelled him to abandon his promising cricket career early. At the age of 27, Pucovski declared his retirement from professional cricket last year.
