Jim Sarbh’s home is the kind of sprawling expanse that makes you want to pack your bags and jet off for a quick getaway. If there was one word to capture the vibe of the space – we’d say calm, just like the actor himself. Between hectic work schedules and characters that encourage him to explore the varying worlds within him, his home by the ocean is where he goes to drop all that baggage and reconnect with who he truly is. The Interiors Scream ‘Space’
Sarbh’s forever home is a breathtaking sea-facing Spanish Colonial-style Parsi bungalow, located on the Maharashtra coastline in the Dahanu-Gholvad area, about a 3 to 4 hour ride from Mumbai. The colour palette of this majestic piece of real restate is almost entirely white, contributing to the breezy atmosphere it stands surrounded by. Tall pillars bring the drama – an outtake from the Parsi playbook for stunning homes while most of the spaces in between are sparsely populated with paraphernalia to encourage that sense of openness; also a great hack to ensure maximum ventilation and natural cooling, courtesy of the sea. The curves and bends of the home inside naturally sculpt out spaces for artwork and sculptural pieces to feel and look like they naturally belong there.
Wood is also predominantly featured right through the house as a defining accent – the wooden shutter on the windows make for an unmissable detail. The living room, as sprawling as you can imagine it to be, opens on three sides and presents a seamless route for both the cool sea breeze as well as the sunlight. Sarbh, during a tour of his house, had also mentioned how the primary ethos of his home is not just for one ‘person’, but ‘people’, which is exactly where he finds the motivation to be a stellar host, especially during festive season.

The Exteriors are Enveloped in Green
For the outside, the natural, lush greenery is the dominating themes with an added dose of blues and greys – courtesy of the property’s private swimming pool as well as the constant view of the ocean. The outdoor patio however is where the essence of the entire house comes together, complete with outdoor seating and a swinging lounge chair – if we lived here, we’d never get off that chair!
At first glance, there’s nothing that’d appear ‘minimal’ about Sarbh’s home. However, as soon as you get an idea of how the interiors have been done, you’ll definitely start seeing the point of less is more. Besides this property on the outskirts of Maharashtra, the actor’s mother is also believed to be in possession of a lavish Bandra flat worth ₹21 crores, further strengthening the family’s already sprawling real estate portfolio.
