When guardrails were put in place by cops to stop them, the crowd allegedly became agitated, damaged and removed the barricades, and misbehaved with police personnel. Officers alleged that the protesters also tore the uniforms of police personnel on duty. In this regard, a case has been registered at Jadavpur police station under Sections 189, 190, 191, 132, 223 and 324 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
