BTS members RM and J-Hope have come under increasing scrutiny after attending a Chris Brown and Usher concert in Toronto recently, turning what could’ve been a private night out into a major debate about celebrity accountability, personal choices and the responsibilities of artists with huge global audiences. The debate has now moved beyond the discussion of fans. The Pixel Project, a non-profit organisation that works to end violence against women, has indefinitely suspended RM from its list of “16 Male Role Models Helping to Stop Violence Against Women.” This is being seen as a strong move, though many feel BTS is being singled out considering how often global celebs attend Brown’s shows, despite his history of abuse.
