Director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria, the duo behind the popular Dhamaal franchise, are facing a police case over an alleged Rs 1.5 crore rights fraud. A Mumbai-based film distribution company has accused them of selling movie rights that were already sold to someone else years earlier. The case has been registered with Mumbai’s Amboli Police, and an investigation is now underway.
