US-South Korea Drills Cut Short After Trump Invokes His 'Very Good Relationship' With Kim

The US and South Korea have cut the duration and size of their annual joint military exercises after a request from President Donald Trump, South Korea’s military said on Tuesday. The Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise, which began on Monday and was originally scheduled to last for 10 days, will now end on Friday, 21 August, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
