Police in Roman Forest responded to reports of an active shooter in the Kings Colony area on Saturday, after multiple people were reportedly shot in the neighbourhood. Law enforcement officers were deployed to the Nottingham Road area of Kings Colony in East County as the situation unfolded.
Authorities urged residents and members of the public to avoid the area while emergency crews worked to bring the incident under control.
In a public warning, officials said people outside the neighbourhood should not attempt to enter the area, while those already inside were instructed to follow all commands from law enforcement officers at the scene.
