The blockade, launched in April at President Trump’s direction, has deployed over 15,000 American troops to one of the world’s most strategically important waterways. In addition to the 100 ships turned away, four vessels have been disabled and 26 humanitarian aid ships have been permitted to pass through, according to US military.
