In an interview with Janice Sequeira, Anurag Kashyap reacted to a marriage plan question. He revealed that Shubhra doesn’t believe in marriage. He confessed that he is very happy to be with her and would like to be with her for the rest of his life.
While explaining the old man’s insecurities, the Gangs Of Wasseypur director said, “I want to be healthy enough to outlive the people I love. Because if it doesn’t happen, then what can happen after that? The ways of the world. So, I think about it a lot. But my thing is, as long as we have found what we have found now, I’m happy with anything. I don’t want to lose this.”
On the other hand, Shubhra recalled that they were in their honeymoon phase and deeply in love when she said being in love was on her bucket list. But Anurag got emotional and teared up. He revealed that he had never been afraid of dying until he fell in love with Shubhra Shetty. After getting into a relationship with her, he had found something worth living for, which is why he doesn’t want to die.
The filmmaker also confessed that they have had their moments, and during such time they have been self-conscious. “I was trying so hard to push it away. There was a point because her face doesn’t show her age. She still looks the same. She doesn’t look her age. So the thing is, the more I grew older and she kept looking the same, that’s when I became slightly conscious,” Anurag added.
