KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a decent start to India and added 47 runs for the first wicket. Jaiswal, who scored 32 off 37, was run out in the 11th over. Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal formed a solid partnership and added 189 runs for the second wicket. Their partnership was halted after Rahul walked off due to cramps. He can come out to bat again on the second day.
